Your handle is quite appropriate right now. My condolences.

It's your username. Haha.
That's awful! Is it a bug, or is it always like that?

Well, that sucks. What's happening? I only live a little way from Canterbury; it shouldn't be that slow.

There's your problem, you live in the United Kingdom.
You need to be an MBE or higher before the Crown grants you more broadband.

It's usually very slow but it's being exceptionally bad right now. Luckily I move out of this place tomorrow so I won't have to deal with it much longer.

It's usually slow (like under or around 1mbps) but not this bad. I have no idea why.

boo. Hopefully moving helps :) Haha. I imagine it's DSL? Maybe you can get cable internet when you move, it's more like this (at work, I think I get 50mbps at home):

What's an MBE?

Member of the British Empire...sigh.

Aah, that must be it! They're still bitter that we won.

I'm surprised it's generally that bad. Are you out in a village, or something?

Before running such a test it's generally a good idea to pause your porn downloads.

Nope, I'm right by the West Ham tube station. I'm in a house that the owner uses as a little B&B that she markets on airbnb, so I assume that she sprung for the absolute cheapest package they have. And also Orange in general blows big nasty chunks.

Interestingly, Pornhub is still remarkably fast!

Ah, fair enough. It's costs so little to get serviceable internet these days that I wouldn't have thought someone would actually opt for speeds that low to save a couple of quid a month, but if you're running your house as a BnB and don't really care about Internet stuff yourself - as is, I assume, the case for your landlady - then I suppose you'd just go for whatever's the absolute cheapest, so you can advertise WIFI without having to spend more than you have to.

Your Internet, slow as it might be, at least has its priorities in order.

I used to get about 60 Mb/s down, but then I kicked a swan, and here I am.
